Police Commissioner Gerold Dompig immediately discounted Joran’s new story, he said, “This latest story [came] when [Van der Sloot] saw the other guys, the Kalpoes, were kind of finger-pointing in his direction, and he wanted to screw them also, by saying he was dropped off. But that story doesn’t check out at all. He just wanted to screw Deepak.” Dompig adds, “They had great arguments about this in front of the judge. Because their stories didn’t match. This girl, she was from Alabama, she’s not going to stay in the car with two black kids. We believe the second story, that they were dropped off by the Marriott.”

The Jogger
Not longer after “the gardener”, another person known as “the jogger” steps forward. This person claims to witness, on the afternoon of May 30, men burying a blonde-haired woman in a landfill. Therefore the police search the landfill just days after Natalee Holloway disappeared. After the jogger’s speaks up, the landfill is searched three more times; furthermore the FBI used cadaver dogs but found nothing.
