Wever: New Suspect
We’re now to the date of May 17, 2006, and a new suspect is located. In the Netherlands, Guido Wever, the son of a former Aruban politician, is detained on the grounds of suspicion of assisting in abducting, battering, and killing Natalee Holloway. For six days, Wever is questioned in Utrecht. Initially, the Aruban authorities tried to get him transferred to the island for questioning, but that didn’t happen. Instead he was released by some agreement made per the prosecutor and Wever’s attorney.
