During T.D. Ward’s 18-month investigation, he also spoke to Joran Van der Sloot’s friend, John Ludwick. Ludwick states that he was paid off to the tune of $1,500 to dig up Natalee’s remains back in 2010. Then that he should cremate them together with dog bones, seeing as how some Aruban cemeteries allowed pet cremation.

Ludwick also revealed that he and Joran had burned Natalee’s skull in a cave. In a recorded conversion, he said, “The idea was to crush everything to the point where it wasn’t recognizable as her bones or skull or anything like that.”
