Day 1

You can choose to head to the new Sky Lagoon, enjoy lunch there and then wander around the beautiful city of Reykjavik. You can enjoy coffee at Sandholt and make sure to grab an incredible cinnamon roll at Brauð & Co.

The Sky Lagoon is a geothermal pool that’s about 15 minutes from downtown. It is smaller than the Blue Lagoon, but it’s located right on the ocean, creating a gorgeous sight to behold. There’s also a swim-up bar and an oceanfront sauna featuring a ceiling to floor window with stunning views.

If you want more of an adventurous day, you can also check whether you have the opportunity to see molten lava, which is absolutely incredible. Head over to the Geldingadalir volcano if you have the chance to see molten lava live.

The hike in the area is about 9 miles long and ranges from easy to moderate in difficulty. Try to budget about four hours or so for the whole trip.

You can start the day with coffee at  Reykjavik Roasters. Enjoy your drink there or take it with you as you explore the lovely seaside city. Some must-sees include Hallgrímskirkja church, which is 244-feet-tall, visiting the Settlement Exhibition, and visit the Rainbow street between Bergstaðastræti and Laugavegur.

Head over to the famous Blue Lagoon to enjoy the private pools with the brilliant blue water that is so striking to see. You can enjoy the full spa facility there, where you’ll be encouraged to wear your bathrobe, even to the complimentary afternoon tea.

Make sure to make reservations at Moss, the fine dining restaurant at the establishment. Here, tasting menus are the only option but they all feature fresh, season ingredients to make sure you get the best dining experience possible. Some dishes, including their lamb, is cooked on lava stone from Geldingadalir volcano.

Day 3

After breakfast, consider taking a floating massage at the Blue Lagoon. It’s an incredible experience like no other, and you’ll be fully relaxed on your last day in this beautiful country.

Take advantage of one last swim in the Blue Lagoon and enjoy the warm water while you can. There’s plenty of time to relax before heading out on your flight back home. If you want to take photos, consider bringing along a waterproof case for your phone.
