What many fans don’t know is that she came in second place on Survivor: Philippines.

Jodie Foster hasn’t left our minds since she was a teenager. She made herself known in Martin Scorsese’s, Taxi Driver where she appeared alongside Robert DeNiro. She won an Academy Award for her brilliant performance in The Accused in 1988. It wasn’t the end for her there as she won again for her role as Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs. Foster has shifted her attention to behind the camera as a director now.

Being 95 years old doesn’t mean that you can’t continue a successful career and Betty White proves that over and over. Can you believe that we’ve been enjoying her charm for over 75 years already? Well, I guess not all of us have. She is actually noted as the first woman to have produced her own sitcom. Since she lost her husband to cancer in 1981 she hasn’t remarried.

It is virtually impossible to grasp the fact that Angela Bassett is turning 60 this year. She has played some very impressive roles in biopic movies like when she portrayed Tina Turner in What’s Love Got To Do With It. For that role she won a Golden Globe Award as well as an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.

Sigh, what a woman! Audrey Hepburn took everyone’s breath away when she showed the world her true talent in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She is an icon who has taught us that anything can be done, as she said, “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!” She passed away when she was 63 years old after having suffered from cancer.
Diana Rigg
Diana Rigg wasn’t always Olenna Tyrell on Game of Thrones, sorry to burst your bubble, youngsters. Rigg gained major recognition in the 1960’s and has kept others’ eyes glued on her since. Even her most die-hard fans don’t know that she can speak some Hindi because she spent a chunk of her childhood in India where her father worked as a railway engineer.

Monster’s Ball set the stage for Halle Berry to become the first and only African American woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2002. The 1986 Miss USA first runner-up starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in James Bond: Die Another Day. She might be 51 years old now, but you would never have guessed it.
Dawn French
When it comes to funny, British comedian Dawn French sure knows what it’s all about. Her seven British Academy Television Award nominations can definitely speak for that. Most fans will know her for writing and appearing in the sketch comedy show, French and Saunders. She played the Fat Lady in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Her real name is LaDonna Adrian Gaines, but the singer, songwriter, performer and artist went by the name “Donna Summer.” She actually started singing in her church as a replacement for a vocalist who didn’t show up. Oh, did we mention that she was just 8 years old? The world mourned when she passed away in 2012 of lung cancer.

Her last name is enough to get any of us worked up. Janet Jackson is the youngest of the Jacksons and has made it as a successful singer, actress, dancer and songwriter. Many can remember that scandalous concert where Justin Timberlake “mistakenly” revealed her to the audience. She had her first child in 2017 and only four months after that, she separated from her partner, businessman Wissam Al Mana.

It’s difficult deciding where to start with the brilliant, Australian actress, Nicole Kidman. Her fame came after her role in the thriller, Dead Calm. After putting on an impressive show as Satine in Moulin Rouge, she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and was nominated for an Academy Award.

The “Queen of all Media” has been influencing the lives of thousands since 1986. Her talk show boosted her popularity and net worth, making her one of the most successful talk-show hosts and influential women in the world. Oprah also happens to claim top spot as the richest African-American person in the world.

Shields started her acting career at a young age, but not without some scandal. She played a controversial role in Pretty Babe when she was just 12 years old. Since then she just took off (in the positive sense), but not without stopping to obtain her Romance Languages degree from Princeton University. Today she is married with two beautiful daughters.

Sally Field won many people’s hearts in the 1960’s when she played the surfer girl in the series, Gidget. Field is an Academy Award winner, as well as a successful director. She was awarded a special star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014.
Stacey Dash
51-year-old Stacey Dash has made an appearance in some interesting movies like, Moving, Mo’ Money, Renaissance Man, and also View from the Top. She is best known for her role as Dionne Davenport in Clueless. Acting wasn’t Dash’s only gig, she also moved into the political arena where she co-hosted on Fox’s Outnumbered.
Vanessa Williams
It wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies for the first African-American Miss America. She won the title in 1984, but she later lost her title due to a publication of nude photos of hers in Penthouse magazine. Before Williams made it in acting, she actually tried her luck at singing. Perhaps her two most popular t.v. roles were in Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives.
