Melissa Sue Anderson
Melissa was like one of the family in her role as Laura’s sister Mary in Little House on the Prairie. She was the only member of the cast to earn an Emmy Award nomination for her convincing portrayal of a blind girl (late in the series). Her first breaks were on shows like Bewitched, but she went on to act extensively on the silver screen as well.

World-renowned for her portrayal of Wonderwoman in the 70’s television series by the same name, Lynda Carter likes to dabble. Apart from singing and song-writing she also had a big career in beauty pageants. Lynda Carter was Miss World America in 1972; still today she looks great – no liposuction required.

Who doesn’t remember this nostalgiac promo shot? You can almost hear the theme song. Nancy McKeon, who started her acting career on soaps, finally leapt into the heart of American with her role as Jo on the Facts of Life.
Michael J Fox
As the 1980’s heartthrob of a whole generation of America, it’s impossible to forget Michael J Fox. Brilliantly funny in the hit TV series Family Ties as Alex, and the boy wonder Marty in ‘Back to the Future’, Fox is one of a kind. In recent years Michael has struggled with Parkinson’s, but he continues to work – recently appearing on numerous episodes of The Good Wife.
James Spader
Once upon a time, famous for his role in Pretty in Pink, James Spader has done many eccentric roles in films like Sex, Lies and Videotape. Laterally he went on to win an Emmy and two Golden Globe Awards for his work in TV. Always a bit odd and unexpected, Spader has not disappointed in recent years. Many adored him in The Office, where he brought a note of quirky, dark humor to the role of Robert California.
Erin Moran
Erin Moran, one of America’s sweethearts, dabbled in film but really became a household name on TV. Vivacious and chirpy as Ron’s sister Joanie in Happy Days, Erin also appeared in such series as Murder She Wrote and The Love Boat. Tragically, Moran passed away in April 2017 from complications of stage 4 cancer.
Joan Collins
Joan Collins has been in the business a long time, with a far more extensive career than most realize and has an OBE (Order of the British Empire). Born in the UK, she studied acting at RADA (Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts) and had a very healthy career on the stage before finding stardom on the US TV series Dynasty. Rumor has it that Joan is no stranger to a good facelift – and in recent years apart from acting she has also written several books.
Roseanne Barr
Larger than life, Roseanne Barr was the voice of the average American working mother for almost a decade in her series Roseanne. Loosely based on her stand-up routine, she later claimed to want to produce a strong, realistic mother figure for American television. Besides acting Barr has been heavily involved in politics and now lives on a huge farm in Hawaii.
Jessica Lange
Almost no accolade is sufficient for the enormous talent of Jessica Lange. Having won more awards than most, including two Academy Awards – she is considered the elite of Hollywood. Stage, screen, TV – she’s done it all, but was particularly adored for her role in the film Tootsie (starring Dustin Hoffman). She is also involved in charity work and is a UN Goodwill Amabassador.
Jack Nicholson
Jack Nicholson, a leading light in Hollywood has done more films than he can remember. Adept at a range of genres – he has wowed audiences in films as disparate as The Shining and Batman – and Terms of Endearment and As Good As It Gets. Jack is one of only 3 male actors to have won three Academy Awards!

Jaclyn Smith
Jaclyn Smith, a household name, was propelled to fame by the hit TV series Charlie’s Angels. Smith subsequently kept acting after the show ended and is well respected for her craft. In later years she became a businesswoman and started her own line of clothing and perfume.

Not a facelift in sight – Molly Ringwald looks fabulous. Starting off on the stage, Ringwald soon found her way onto the screen. It was impossible to miss her incredible career with a string of hit films in the 80’s and 90’s, including Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club.
Goldie Hawn
Getting her start in a sketch comedy show on TV, Goldie went on to appear in a string of blockbuster films, including Private Benjamin and Overboard. Goldie has been in a longterm relationship with Overboard co-star Kurt Russell – the couple has 3 children.
Mia Farrow
Mia Farrow started out as fashion model, but is almost as famous for her acting career as she is for her infamous marriages (one to Frank Sinatra – and then Woody Allen). She has appeared in many classics of cinema, including Rosemary’s Baby, Death on the Nile and Hannah and Her Sisters. Not one for liposuction (not that she needs it), Farrow seems to be woman who is getting older with grace and style.
Diane Keaton
Everyone loves Diane Keaton. Making her start in films like The Godfather, she quickly made a name for herself as a comedic actress in films like Annie Hall– and in later years Father of the Bride, Something’s Gotta Give and First Wives’ Club. Our girl Diane keeps herself busy and also dabbles in writing, real estate and singing.
John Cusack
John Cusack, actor, writer, producer – he’s done it all. Gaining idol status after the film Say Anything in the 80’s, he went on to appear in classics such as High Fidelity and Being John Malkovich.
Emilio Estevez
Emilio Estevez, a member of the Brat Pack from the 80’s, has acted in every kind of film imaginable. Good ol’ Emilio has made his mark from his work in comedy/dramas like The Breakfast Club and St Elmo’s Fire – but also action movies and Westerns.
Faye Dunaway
Starring in the film that shocked audiences in the 60’s – Bonny and Clyde – Faye Dunaway never disappoints. Getting her start on Broadway – she has appeared in many respected productions including Mommie Dearest and A Streetcar Named Desire. Plus Faye has won more awards than most, including a BAFTA, an Emmy, two Golden Globes and an Academy Award.
Barbara Eden
Well, who can forget I Dream of Jeannie? She made things fun and magical – and Barbara Eden, who shot to fame with the show, still seems to have the same joie de vivre about her nearing the age of 80. Eden also graces the stage and sings.

Burt Reynolds is not only a heart-throb, but a talented actor, director and producer. Surprisingly he is also a former football player. Some of his better known films include Deliverance and Boogie Nights.

Christie Brinkley, lovely, all American model and actress – she’s still got it. Gaining fame with a run of Sports Illustrated covers in the 70’s – Brinkley was the face of Covergirl Cosmetics for a quarter of a century!

Cybill Sheperd has acted, sung and done some modelling – but of course she is best known for her role in Taxi Driver and the hit TV series Moonlighting – where there were real sparks with her co-star Bruce Willis.

Robert Redford
Apart from being an actor, director, environmentalist and philanthropist – as if that wasn’t enough, Robert Redfor also founded the now legendary Sundance Film Festival. Robert Downey Jr
Robert Downey Jr’s life hasn’t always been a bed of roses. Achieving stardom at a young age, he fell into drug abuse and was actually written out of the series Ally McBeal (for which he’d won a Golden Globe) because of repeated drug-related charges. Eventually he got clean and went on to become one of the highest paid actors in history; he has great success in recent years with films like Tropic Thunder, The Avengers and Iron Man films.
Richard Thomas
Richard Thomas may seem quiet and reserved, but he’s made quite an impact. Starting off on stage and in soap operas, he made it big when he became John-Boy in the CBS series The Waltons.
Doris Day
1939 was the year we were blessed with Doris Day and her impeccable career as an actress, singer, and animal welfare activist. Her first hit “Sentimental Journey” took the world by storm and the hits kept on comin’. Often cited as one of the greatest singers of her time, in the 60’s she then became THE biggest female film star. With the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and Cecil B. DeMille Award to her belt, Day retired in 1973. At 95, she’s still active in her animal welfare activism!
