Ha Ha Hyena!
This cachinnating (yes, that’s a word for laughing very loudly) hyena either heard a really funny joke, or he’s about to sneeze. It could also be all those flies tickling his cute little nose.
“He Likes To Move It Move It”
Is this King Julian from Madagascar? We don’t know, but what we do know is that lemurs like to get their shuffle on. He seems to be pretty talented too.
Caught In The Act
This is probably what I look like when my wife finds me in the kitchen during the wee hours of the morning when I’m sneaking in a snack.
“I Wonder If There Are Any Pawlice Around”
Let’s face it, 40km or even 40 miles an hour is still too slow for the cheetah. He can reach between 100 to 120km/h if he wasn’t worried about being pulled over by the “pawlice”. Are you cachinnating yet?
“Chill out, mate.”
Now I’ve heard that Australia is one of the most relaxed countries in the world, but I didn’t realize that even their wildlife donate a good chunk of their time to chillaxing. Good on ya mate!
Scaredy-Cat
We’re not sure how this conversation went, but we’d imagine that it started with a screech. And just in case you’re wondering, that is not a single leopard with four eyes, that would be crazy!
He Was Toad A Funny Joke
These puns are not getting any better, I’m willing to admit it. This toad might not seem to be able to see straight, but he sure as heck knows how to have a good time. I’ll have whatever he’s having, please.
There’s Always That One
We all have that one friend. He might be just like us, but he’s a little, um… a little cuckoo. It doesn’t really matter, we still love him, even when he’s standing on his heads, or on ours.
A Monoceros?
Take two! That is not a rhinoceros with two heads, although hey, that would be absolutely incredible! Sometimes things happen at the exact right moment and then SNAP! you’ve got a photograph of it – if you’re quick enough that is.
Lizzy The Warrior
“We shall fight them to the death! Or until the last fly!” This lizard is ready for any threat, unless of course that threat happens to be larger than an eraser. Hey, I could be completely wrong – she could be a pole-vaulting champion for all we know.
“Quick! Into The Foxhole!”
“The enemy is coming, quick! Positions!” Poor James can’t remember which entrance was supposed to be unlocked. It’s okay, he’s pretty camoufloxed so no-one will see him.
“Will You Have This Dance?”
Wow, these two ants have what it takes to dominate the stage at Strictly Come Dancing! We might have to donate a magnifying glass to the judges, but they definitely have the potential.
“Oh No! They’ve Spotted Me!”
You have to admit it, we all take the opportunity to, you know, pick our noses now and again. We just try not to get caught. It’s not just us though, our primate cousins do it too, and even in the deepest African jungles they get caught too.
“I’m Sexy And I Know It”
Bear with me on this one. How confident does this young beast look jamming out by the river? I wonder what music he’s dancing to, I’d like to take part in the festivities. Maybe that’s not such a good idea.
“I’m Coming For Bananas, But First, Let Me Take A Selfie”
Selfies are so popular and easy to do that even monkeys are doing it. If National Geographic really wanted to get the best photos from the wild, they would just need to donate a few cameras to these cute creatures.
Sometimes It’s Just Not Your Day
My father always said to us, “Some days you’ll be the pigeon and some days you’ll be the statue.” In this case however, it seems it would be worse to be the buffalo. Even the “Big 5” get pooped on sometimes.
“I Knew We Shouldn’t Have Ordered Chinese!”
“Eyes bigger than his stomach” is not exactly this little furball’s problem. Food that’s bigger than his body might be it, though. This kind of reminds us of Ratatouille.
“I Said No Peeking!”
So many people love surprises, but just as many people can’t control their curiosity. If someone tells me to keep a secret, I can do it, but if I want to keep something a surprise from my wife, I just can’t! But that might not be my fault.
Camouflage Day
Now, looking at this picture can raise many questions, like “what is he doing” or more importantly, “what animal is that?” Aha! Success! The camouflage really seems to be working. This penguin will be happy to know that. I think it’s a penguin.
That Moment…
You know that moment when you want to take a picture on your phone, and you accidentally switch on the front camera. Yeeaaah, not my favorite moment either. Let’s just say that if what we see here in this picture was the result, we might be flattered.
Bad Hair Day
Let’s face it, it happens to all of us. But it’s not everyday that a bad hair day actually looks so good!
Teddy With His Bear
Teddy was thrilled to eventually get his own bear! It had been a good few months that he was the only one of his friends without a fury friend.
Yoga At Home
When you try to do yoga at home and the kids are off from school. But we have to give credit to this mom for pulling off both activities together.
Never Miss The Photo Op
No matter what, never miss the photo opportunity. And who said that stripes weren’t flattering? I believe this photograph tells quite a different story.
“Why Is Your Mom Freaking Out?”
“We’re just having a simple conversation about the weather, why is your mom freaking out, dude?” Parents – always overreacting about nothing.
“Tell Us The Tales Of Birth”
Young Chimp was really excited to tell everyone about the great adventures he had had in the womb. The only problem was that he couldn’t talk.
Guts: Level 100
You have brave, and then you have I-don’t-give-a-flying-fog BRAVE! It seems that it’s NOT when the cats are away that the mice will play.
Selfie
We’ve all got that one friend that we take selfies with at every opportunity. Whether we look like gold or like garbage doesn’t really matter – as long as we get the picture.
An Unlikely Friendship
In the vast animal kingdom you can find thousands of different animals and species. But it’s not so common that you find two animals from completely different kingdoms becoming friends. I guess these two are an exception.
No Heads
The myth is that ostriches bury their heads in the sand when they’re afraid. But what is this about penguins losing their heads when an airplane flies over?
“Momma’s Asleep! Come On!”
When the cat’s away, the mice will… No, when momma-bear is asleep, little polar-bear son will call his friends over for a game of “Go Fish”.
“Wait, What Do You Mean ‘Allergic?'”
Have you ever been so eager to chomp something down that you don’t check to see if it’s fresh or not? Or even worse, you don’t check if it’s got anything you’re allergic to. Yeah, that’s never happened to me ever – the allergic thing, at least.
When The Person Taking Your Photo Can’t Find The Button
There are very few things that are more annoying than someone who takes half a century to take your picture. It’s not like cameras are a new thing, they’ve been around for over 100 years already, GOSH!
“Oh No!”
My mother always told me to keep the best for last. She believed that eating the most delicious candy after all the rest was the most rewarding of the lot. This little birdie is probably regretting having kept the best for last.
Express Relocation
When you can’t swim against the stream, call on a friend who can beat the current. I must say, this bird seems a little eag-le to help… it’s a little bit suspicious.
“Aaaand Stweeetch”!
Sandy is no ordinary bunny wabbit, he is a yoga enthusiast and even a tai chi master! He is currently remodeling the yoga poses. In this picture you can see him presenting the renovated “downward bunny”, a popular pose among the carrot-chomping population.
“Baby, Don’t Go!”
Sometimes you have to let the love of your life spread her wings and let her go. If she’s really yours then she will come back. If she doesn’t return, well… clearly this guy is having a hard time letting her go.
“You Can’t See Me!”
“I’m a blade of grass. You can’t see me.” He’s virtually invisible, minus those two huge bulging eyes protruding from either side of that grass blade.
“Fish? What Fish?”
“Sir, have you seen the fish platter that was out here?” Asked the polite waiter. “Fish? Mmmm… what fish?” Answered the hungry puffin with a mouth that almost couldn’t close.
“I’m Never Drinking Again”
There aren’t many things that are worse than a pounding hangover. Timon spent the whole night drinking with Pumbaa, and he has never regretted it so much.
There Are Many Fish In The Sea
You know, we’ve always been told that there are many fish in the sea. I completely believe it, but there is a catch there (no pun intended). No matter how many fish there might be, you have to still catch one at the end of the day!
“Just One More Kiss”
There’s always one person in the relationship who likes kissing in public more than the other. Regardless of how much kissing is done behind closed doors, when other people are around, some people just don’t want to be seen kissing!
The Flying Bear
Now I know that this picture looks like it was planned for, but truthfully I believe these guys just winged it. Creatures of mythology are just mythical, right? You take a look and you can be the judge.
Flying 101
Humans walk, fish swim and birds fly. Well, most of them are supposed to know how to. Do you think they get a crash course if they don’t prove to be good flyers? This poor guy surely could use a couple of extra lessons.
“I Can’t Breathe! My Nose Is Sealed!”
Whether it’s hay-fever or a cold, it is really annoying and uncomfortable when your nose is blocked and you can’t breathe properly. But what about sharks? Do they get allergies or the common cold? Perhaps their noses get sealed from other causes.
Emoji Owl
It was the annual “emoji” convention and everyone was getting dressed up in their appropriate costumes. For Olivia the owl, she didn’t have enough time to pick up a costume. Luckily for her, she could easily transform herself into a live emoji! 😉
Frank’s Eating Problem
After Frank’s eating problem went out of hand, his friends made an intervention with the hope of helping their good friend. His problem wasn’t over or under eating, rather it was that he could never get the food into his mouth correctly.
“Stop. Stop Talking.”
You know that moment when someone is trying to explain themselves and with each word they say they’re digging themselves deeper into a hole? Someone just needs to tell them to stop talking – no less harm can be done at that point.
The Lizard King
One of the greatest Disney classics of all time is Lion King. It didn’t just make waves for us humans, it echoed through the animal kingdom too. To this day, children of all species still replay the scene of Mufasa and Scar during the stampede.
Morning Exercise
Every good day starts with a good ritual. This praying mantis gets up early to catch 30 minutes on his exercise bike before heading out to catch some breakfast.
“Step Back, Dear”
“Kids, squeeze in. Dear, step back and join the children. We don’t have much time, he’s on his way back and we need print the Christmas postcards already.”
“I’m An Ostrich”
When Dillon’s parents said he could be whatever he wanted to be, he decided on ‘ostrich’. He had watched them burying their heads in the sand, so he tried to do the same.
The Sprinkler’s Out
Sylvia was never the selfish type. After the humans had built her a bird bath, she wanted to show her appreciation, she just needed the chance. So when their sprinkler system wasn’t working, she took it upon herself to “irrigate” their garden.
“Now You Get Back In There And Show ’em Who The Rams Are!”
What else can we say about this picture? Naaaaa-thing, I guess. Wow, that was a terrible joke. I need more jokes. Please donate any old jokes book you might have.
“Owl Be Leaving Now”
Here’s one last picture to help you ponder the cuteness and hilariousness of the animals we so rarely get to see. And even more so, the side of them that is usually behind the bushes in the wild.
You Never Listen!
We all have that friend that never seems to listen no matter how much you try to get through to them. This poor bird had simply had enough of his friend not listening, but it seems like his outburst was still fallen on deaf ears. Maybe he just needs to find a new friend!
Goodness Gracious
This poor beaver had never seen a camera in his life, and he was absolutely shocked to see a whole camera crew with their extensive equipment right next to his river. While he was startled at first, he eventually got more comfortable with them, and then absolutely loved posing for photoshoots.
Life’s A Beach
This little guy doesn’t have a care in the world as is clear by his worry-free pose. We’re jealous of this little one, as we all know that when you grow up worries catch up to you. However, we’re glad he can enjoy his youth completely burden-free.
I Feel Like Something’s Behind Me
This poor little fishy always has that strange feeling that an invisible something is right behind him. Unfortunately for him, this time his feeling is a true, and so he better think of an escape plan soon before this shark catches up to him!
No One Will See Me Now
This deer has watched his elders before him create incredible camouflage disguises in order to avoid predators. Although this try is not bad for his first time, he definitely still needs a bit of practice. We commend him for his efforts and his confidence, though.
Well Hello There
If this isn’t the happiest little fellow you’ve ever seen, then we don’t know what happiness truly is. This tiny ball of happy fur is emanating so much pure happiness that it’s quite contagious and has us all grinning from ear to ear. Does it get any cuter??
Maybe This Time My Wish Will Come True
This squirrel is sick and tired of losing all of his acorns and he decided to get fate involved this time. He vigorously made a wish as he started blowing away at this dandelion, but he didn’t realize that the wind was not on his side that day, and he found himself with a face full of fuzzies. We hope at least his wish came true.
Oh Hi
These two beavers were minding their own business, floating along the river besides one another, when suddenly they realized that there were some onlookers. In the moment they decided to keep their cool and not get angry, so they kept a straight face, waved, and continued on along on their way.
What’s Up My Dude
There’s nothing quite like the friendship between two animals like these guys. In order to celebrate catching an especially juicy fish, this penguin decided to chest bump his best friend. That way, everybody in the area could see just how close they are and also how talented of a fish-catcher he is.
Oh Brother
This poor bear. He just wants to spend the whole year hibernating, but he has just been informed that this is the time of year to forage the forest and collect food for the winter. He wishes he could just hire someone else to do his bidding for him instead, so he could keep sleeping ’round the clock.
Hide And Seek
Ever since discovering the game of hide and seek, this bear cub has not stopped playing. He is having such a good time trying to find the perfect hiding spot, that he hasn’t even realized that the rest of his playmates have given up on the game hours ago. Hopefully he won’t stand behind that tree the whole day!
Well Howdy
Flying insects truly get a bad reputation. We tend to mindlessly swat them away when they come near us, and most people are absolutely revolted by them. However, if you took the time to take a closer look at one, you’d see that they’re actually quite friendly and are just trying to say hello, just like this little fellow!
That’s A Knee Slapper!
Sometimes you hear a joke that you simply can’t get enough of and has you rolling on the floor laughing. This is exactly what happened to this guy, who just can’t control of his laughter after hearing a nearby Zebra’s joke.
Tell Me That Joke Again!
Here is the comedian himself, the hilarious zebra with an endless supply of jokes. Everyone loves hanging around him because they know that they’ll have a great time. Even his best friend, who has heard all of his jokes before, is still cracking up genuinely.
Do You Like My New Coat?
This look takes the concept of a Winter line in fashion to a whole new level. Instead of wearing a coat to prevent the snow from making direct contact with you, why not wear a coat made out of snow itself? We’re not sure if this monkey agrees that this is a good idea, judging from his pleading look, but he surely pulls off this look.
You Are The Dancing Queen
This squirrel has been practicing her carefully choreographed dance moves for months now. In this performance, she is really giving it her all and is hoping to win the talent show contest that the animals are holding this year.
New Hairdo
We knew that side-swept bangs were in fashion, but this little fellow didn’t realize that in the animal world, that meant that his hair would be literally swept to the side by strong winds. He also didn’t know that to keep his hair in place, he would not be able to move away from this spot! Beauty truly is pain.
I’m Open!
This squirrel’s knee injury surely isn’t stopping him from being involved in the football game. He’s making it perfectly clear to his teammates that he is wide open and ready to pass the ball to someone else, even if he is confined to his tree at all times. What a dedicated teammate!
Why Don’t I Have This Feature?
We’re all guilty of mindlessly pressing the “not now” button when we’re faced with a software update notification. However, sometimes the update seems to be worth it and includes cool new features. This bird id regretting not updating his software, which means you can light yourself up like a lamp, like his friend.
And One, Two, Three…
Here we see some penguins who are also practicing for the upcoming talent show. Their synchronized dance is quite complicated, so they are often seen practicing, even when the other penguins are just hanging around aimlessly during their free time. Hopefully their efforts will be worth it!
I See What You Did There
This lion is always being nagged by his wife to help clean their living area. Even though he never helps out, on this day he decided to surprise her and clean the place before she got home from her hunt. She is just as surprised as he thought she would be!
The Treehugger
This little fellow absolutely loves every single thing that exists about nature. He loves every tree, leaf, and especially every flower. Today, he has decided to spend some time with his most favorite flowers, and as you can tell, it is really making his day.
You’ll Never Believe It
This fox is bursting at the seams and simply cannot wait to share his amazing news. He immediately ran over to his best friend, who he knew would be just as excited about the news for him. We can see them embracing one another in sheer excitement.
This Is My Town
As we can see by the sign, this area is protected and access is only allowed to residents of Rooiputs. This lion has been a long time resident of Rooiputs and he actually believes that non-residents should be allowed in, at least for visits. Here we see him trying to take down the sign excluding outsiders from the town.
The Final Dance
These colorful praying mantises have been training for the talent show all year. Now, they are finally ready to perform at the big show. Here we can see them practicing one last time before the grand performance, practicing their final bow.
Please Don’t Eat Me
This poor little critter has made a wrong turn on his way home and has had the misfortune of crossing paths with his arch-enemy. Here we can see him pleading with the fox not to hurt him. In fact, he is trying to bribe him with chestnuts that he has collected over the past year.
Never Give Up Hope
This otter has had quite the tough year. First, the dam he worked so hard on all year fell apart and then his girlfriend broke up with him. Despite is all, he has not given up on hope. As we can see, he is still praying that things will turn out for the better.
May I Have This Dance?
These rabbits have been harboring feelings for one another for quite some time now. The whole time, both of them have been too shy to open up about it, but now at the school dance, they finally both plucked up the courage to dance with one another. It looks like things are looking up for their relationship!
Just Hanging Out
Sometimes, all you need after a tough and long day is just to totally relax. This leopard spend all day out and about on the hunt, and is really tuckered out at this point. He has chosen to relax in his favorite tree until it is hunting time once again.
It’s Just This Way
The poor little penguin on the left has totally lost his way. He has been wandering around for hours trying to find his way home. Luckily for him, he just bumped into a kind penguin who can point him in the right direction. We hope he gets home soon!
I Believe I Can Fly
This hyena is absolutely full on confidence. He’s feeling on top of the world and feels as though he can simply take off and fly into the sky. We hope that nobody ruins his good mood by telling him that these wings don’t actually belong to him…
How Did You Do That?!
This seal is in total shock and disbelief. He has absolutely no idea how his friend is doing this trick of flipping his head around. In fact, at first he is actually quite concerned that his friend is hurting himself. However, soon enough he realizes that this is just a fun party trick.
Cool Biker Dude
Eddie has always been the coolest kid in the class, but that was taken to the next level when he decided to get himself a brand new motorcycle. He even took his crush on a ride, and she definitely had a great time judging by her facial expression.
Come At Me Bro
This fuzzy fellow is feeling extra confident today. In fact, he is feeling so confident that he is actually challenging everyone he encounters to a duel. Maybe this isn’t a great idea, but don’t try telling him that. He feels like the can conquer the whole world right now.
A Deer In The Headlights
We’ve all heard the expression “a deer in the headlights,” but have you ever seen an actual deer caught in the headlights? This poor fellow has just spotted a lion and is temporarily frozen in his tracks in fear. But don’t worry, he manages to escape in time!
