Who hasn’t heard of the newest member of England’s Royal Family, Megan Markle? This Hollywood actress turned Princess is taking the world by storm, her charisma, good looks and fashion sense leaving us all in awe. Meghan is also a very unique Princess, creating controversy because of her and Prince Harry’s new marriage.
For one, she’s an American. Although it isn’t frowned upon, most members of the Royal Family marry someone from England. Meghan is mixed-race, her father is Caucasian, and her mother is African-American: this is a first for England. She is also the first American divorcee to marry into the royal family in over 80 years. Aside from that, Meghan’s career as a Hollywood actress has also sparked much debate. It’s safe to say, Meghan Markle is not your typical Royal, and she’s sure making waves with her new title, Duchess Of Sussex.
So who is Prince Harry’s mysterious new wife? Who is the real Meghan Markle? She is quite the accomplished woman, if we do say so ourselves. The Hollywood star turned Royal was born in Los Angeles, California on August 4th, 1981 as Rachel Meghan Markle. Young Meghan grew up in Hollywood, CA and went to private schools throughout her childhood. She then went on to study at Northwestern University in Illinois, where she studied Theatre and was a part of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma (KKG). Markle began taking on small roles in American TV and films while she was still in University. The powerhouse ended up getting her big break in the American TV drama series, Suits from 2011 to 2016.
