Shields started her acting career at a young age, but not without some scandal. She played a controversial role in Pretty Babe when she was just 12 years old. Since then she just took off (in the positive sense), but not without stopping to obtain her Romance Languages degree from Princeton University. Today she is married with two beautiful daughters.

She started out as a telenovela star in Mexico. Hayek then went on to act in the film, El Callejo de Los Milagros. Once she made the big move to Hollywood the world seemed to open up to her. She can be best attributed to her star performances in From Dusk Till Dawn, Desperado, Dogma, and Wild Wild West. Probably her biggest role was in 2002 when she played Frida Kahlo in Frida.
