From 1982 to 1993, Mark Eaton played as a center for Utah Jazz. Eaton became the best defensive centers in NBA history all thanks to his height, 7 ft 4 in (2.24 m) to be exact. He has racked up 134 goals in his career.

At 7 feet tall, Richard Sligh is indeed the tallest player in professional football history. Sligh was a defensive tackle for the Oakland Raiders. Sadly in 2008, Sligh passed away at the age of 64.
