John Ross Bowie as Barry Kripke
Barry Kripke works in plasma physics but tends to clash with Sheldon. He is often a cause of humor in the show, due to his rhotacism, which is particularly played upon in one episode where the voice recognition on his phone will not work as it doesn’t understand his speech. Sheldon doesn’t particularly like Barry, especially when he discovers that his work is more advanced than his own. On a few occasions though, Sheldon makes failed attempts to befriend Barry.

John’s most notable role is that of Barry Kripke, but he has since become known for playing Jimmy DiMeo, a member of the main cast on Speechless, since 2016. He has appeared in several films and made guest appearances in numerous television programs, including Glee, Good Luck Charlie, Bones, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Hot in Cleveland, and Big Hero 6: The Series. His first appearance was in 1999 in Upright Citizens Brigade, while his most recent was in a 2018 episode of Big Hero 6: The Series.
