It’s there to protect your drink! How terrible would it be if you were to buy a fizzy drink only to open it up to find it completely flat? This little disc keeps everything good and bubbly in the bottle.

You might already know that buttons on men’s dress shirts are on the right, while women’s dress shifts often have buttons on the left. Since most people are right handed, it would seem logical to have all shifts with buttons on the right.

However, buttons used to represent how high standing you were in society. So, as a high ranking woman, typically you would have a maid dress you, so for her, the buttons would be accessible from the right side while facing you.
