Just a year later, she landed her career-defining role of Charlotte York on HBO hit series Sex and the City. She has had guest roles on other hit shows like Friends, Will & Grace and also had a leading voice role on Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Friends. She’s now the host of show Labor of Love.

Actress Marlee Matlin guest starred in the episode “The Lip Reader.” She is best known for her role in the film Children of a Lesser God, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress, making her the only deaf performer to do so, and as she won when she was 21, she’s also the youngest. She also had a main role on TV show Switched at Birth.
