Tim watched as the waiter returned to the young couple with a determined but sorry look on his face. He confessed that he had completely forgotten to make the lovebirds aware, but the roast beef dish they had ordered does actually come with a complimentary glass of champagne. Tim could see that this just wasn’t true, but that the waiter simply wanted to do something nice for a couple who were both trying so hard to enjoy their date. The couple eagerly accepted the offer.

Tim was so touched by this small action that he had to excuse himself and make his way to the restroom. In his Twitter thread, he noted that he had “something in his eye” and just couldn’t believe that the waiter would do such a thing. The couple was overjoyed to see that they had been lucky in their outcome, and the smiles on their faces were just too much to handle for the man who had been watching their whole date. To him, it was just so pure.
