Asking To Pay
The woman looked at the wine list, and once again asked to pay. She didn’t want him spending his hard-earned cash, but he was insistent. The woman could see that her date wouldn’t budge, so she decided to make it easier for them. She was not going to order an expensive glass of wine or a cocktail of any sort. She was instead going to order a water, and insisted that it would be “lovely.” In response, her date told her that she was also lovely. From the sidelines, Tim was cheering him on.

When the waiter came back around to take their order, the couple on their first date had made their decisions. They both ordered the roast beef, and they both ordered a glass of water. The man once again asked his date if she wanted another drink, but she was content with her choice and noted that she would treat them to a drink in the bar after they had eaten their meal. The man squeezed her hand, and Tim could see the sparks flying even more so than before.
