February 2008, Peter de Vries, an undercover Dutch journalist, actually taped Joran as he confessed to disposing Natalee’s body. Joran said Natalee was very drunk, had a seizure while on the beach, and died in his arms. Furthermore, he states that a friend helped him to get rid of her body in the ocean. Unfortunately the video of Joran admitting his guilt was not legally obtained therefore it could not be used as evidence. Police did try to arrest Joran, but a judge completely denied their request.
